Dr. Labib: Well, you
know, in the West, here, I think that the success and the wealth of the
American people, and the westerners as a whole, made them materialistic.
They don't think seriously about religion. So they don't care. They don't
want to know, because if anyone would know the reality of Islam, he couldn't
embrace Islam. Who would embrace a religion that states in its holy book
that every Muslim is going to be in Hell? Who would embrace a religion whose
prophet has no qualities of a true prophet? But the thing is that people
in the West are living for the day, for the 'now,' and because of that they
do not study, they do not read, and because of the ignorance, anyone can
convince them about any religion whatsoever. And we can talk about that,
later on, when we come to see how the Muslims are attacking Christianity,
in our midst, here, because of our freedom. If I go to Saudi Arabia, I cannot
utter one word against Mohammed. But they come here, and they utter 1,000
words against the deity of Jesus Christ, or the authenticity of the Bible.
And this is why there is freedom here, bondage is there, and the people
in the West are ignorant of the reality of the Islam, and this is why they
embrace Islam. And of course, you know, they are taking advantage of the
people who go to prison. They give them money, they give them protection
in prison, they give them all the privileges, if they will be converted
to Islam. And the men in prison will say, "All right, all right."
And to be a Muslim is a very simple thing. "I testify that there is
no god but Allah, and I testify that Mohammed is the messenger of God."
You are a Muslim, that's it! Just say two sentences, and you are a Muslim!
No conversion, no change of the heart, no conviction of principle, say it,
and you are a Muslim!
